Spanish Bible

Well I have gotten a Spanish English Bible and it is amazing. I have been reading back and forth. I cant believe how well my pronunciation has improved. I feel more confident when reading allowed in class. I have also found that reading the Bible in Spanish has helped me in understanding they way sentence are formed and written.

One more try

It has been awhile, but with God in control all things work out. Like learning to read, speak, and understand Spanish. I am happy to say that I am at the point that it is OK to not understand what is going on and to just sit back and enjoy the flow of the Spanish rhythm.

Another Day, Another Week

The Lord has brought me through another stressfull week of being Pathfinder Director, Classes, and Studies. Life seems to be a jungle mess but with each day He is showing me to be calm and to put all my trust into Him I He will and has shown me the way.

Learning Spnish ABC's

Just spent the weekend up at Camp Winnekeag at a Leadership Training Weekend. The weekend was extremly relaxing but at the same time it was go go go meetings all day long. Well on the way home my BF taught me the ABC's in Spanish. I cannot repeat the whole ABC's quite yet but i can say the first ten. It might seem very small but it is a big step for me.

Mission Trips

I have been on two mission trips, the first one was to Honduras and the second one was to Costa Rica. I loved every minute of both the trips in how we were able to spend many hours working and playing with the children. In Honduras we spent our mornings and evenings at the SDA orphanage with the children; playing sports, eating, swimming, cleaning, maintenance, and most important having WORSHIP with them. In Costa Rica we worked at a public school one on one with the children in a Vacation Bible School Program and painting parts of the school that needed the most attendtion. Both trips were amazing and Praise God even though I could not speak with the children that I was able to communicate with Smiles, hugs, playing, and giving them attendtion. With the focus of going on more mission trips to Spanish speaking countries gives me a strong desire to learn spanish so I will not be frustrated when with the children.

Blog Blog Blog Blog

I am new to the Spanish world. I have always wanted to learn but there was never any real need. Times have changed and my BF is a native speaker of the beautiful language, lucky for me he speaks my good old language also, but in order for me to hold a conversation with his parents I have to become a native speaker also. He has taught basic words like the days of the week, body parts, and random objects. I think more time has been spent laughing over how I pronounce the words than anything. When one speaks English for 22 years it is difficult to get that tongue to work another way. Praise God I am slowly learning.
